In 2000, Dennis and Mark Gunter made the decision to jump into an unknown industry in Canada with fiberglass pools. One of the first fiberglass pool installers in Durham Region, they have cleared hurdles and navigated the ups and downs of small business ownership, never giving up. Their perseverance shows in everything they do.

Dennis and Mark began as a crew of two, father and son. Now Mark and wife, Elizabeth, manage the company with three sons of their own. Although Dennis will remain a regular and welcome presence with DFP, he has stepped back from full-time involvement to embrace retirement more fully. We imagine he will spend more time with his ‘66 Belvedere, the chickens, and beside the pool relaxing with a crossword.
Mark and Elizabeth have three growing sons who have entertained plans to take over the company amongst their part-time jobs of actor, professional soccer player, and truck sales rep. Regardless of where the boys’ ambitions will take them, DFP is committed to continuing to grow a trustworthy, reputable company that will last for years to come.
